Assistants for Simple But Classy Websites Program |
Individuals are needed to research critical and emergency social services throughout the state of New Jersey for women preparing for release, including but not limited to housing, employment, health care and family reunification. Interns will also work one-on-one with incarcerated women to create realistic reentry plans that culminate in successful reintegration into the community. Transportation is a must for this one as you will also be accompanying Alumni members to pick up individual women upon release from prison, and putting your plans into action together. |

Redeem-Her presently seeks to fill the following volunteer positions: |
You will initially meet with the Director of Redeem-Her in order to be educated on the vision of the organization. After that, you will work independently to research grant funding opportunities that will fit this vision. Benefits include self-scheduling and working from your own location (in your PJ’s if you like!). |
Projects will include the design, layout, and publishing of the quarterly organizational newsletter and the Alumni Network newsletter, as well as other printed and digital media for the organization. This will be a position with deadlines, which you can meet from home by making your own work schedule. |
The Redeem-Her store on EBay is one of our primary sources of fundraising. In this position, you will list items for sale on EBay while either working according to your own schedule from home, or to a more traditional schedule at our site in Lakewood. If you choose to work from home, you will need to pick up items to be listed from our location in Lakewood, list the items from your home utilizing your own computer with high speed Internet access and then return the items to our site. If you choose to work onsite, you will work according to a regular schedule, and we will provide the computer and Internet access. You should also be willing, if the opportunity arises, to take a female ex-offender under your wing and utilize the EBay listing process to train her in basic computer and Internet skills. This is a good position for a fashion freak with creative writing skills as we primarily sell women’s clothing at our EBay store. |
This work will be done at our site in Lakewood during minimum 4 hour shifts with flexible scheduling. Responsibilities will include sorting incoming donations, receiving requests for clothing from incarcerated women, pulling and packing items from requests, and preparing boxes for shipment or delivery. |
This person will work hand-in-hand with the Director of Redeem-Her to create programs that match the specific availability of grant funds and write grant applications with the goal of obtaining additional funding for the organization. This work could feasibly be done from your home (with heavy on-line interaction with the Director). |
