What You Can Donate

· New and gently used women’s clothing (all sizes, styles, and seasons)

· Personal hygiene items (soap, shampoo, deodorant, good smelling girly stuff, etc.)

· Intimate apparel (bras, panties, nylons, etc.)

· Feminine hygiene items (sanitary napkins and tampons)

· Stationary items (greeting cards, paper, envelopes, pens)

· Books of stamps

Redeem-Her has 501(c)3 federal nonprofit status and thus your donations are tax-deductible.

We are registered with the State of NJ Dept of Treasury as a Domestic Nonprofit Corporation  #0400090521.  We also have a Charitable Registration Number (#CH2644700) with the State of NJ Attorney General that certifies us as “an organization registered to solicit funds.”

Excess inventory or clothing not appropriate for distribution may be sold on ebay.com in order to raise additional funds for the organization.

Last year (2007), because of your support:

355 incarcerated women received clothing packages including 1,139 shirts, 303 winter coats and 350 professional/career outfits

141 children whose mothers are incarcerated or recently released received over 1,500 Christmas gifts

4 mothers redeemed their 8 children from foster care

23 women had the opportunity to participate in our One Woman at a Time reentry program and received assistance with housing, transportation, clothing, employment and family reunification

1,040 holiday cards were provided for incarcerated women to send to their family, friends and children in seeking their forgiveness and restoration

26 children whose mothers are incarcerated or recently released received backpacks, school supplies and new clothing and shoes

2,225 personal hygiene kits were provided to indigent women throughout the state

And that doesn’t count what can not be counted … encouragement, hope and accountability.  Help from women who’ve been there.
